The CineMigrante UNSaM Media Library, located in the IDAES Library (Ed. Volta), aims to generate access and massive diffusion of its audiovisual documents in order to collaborate in a differential way in the processes of creation of knowledge about human mobility.
By establishing types of users, the Mediateca will facilitate access to its documents: the complete audiovisual piece, the direct information that emerges from it (director, country, year of production, synopsis, trailer, etc.) and related information (books, articles and associated audiovisual pieces).
The materials will be organized by thematic categories such as Globalization, Human Rights, Historical relations between territorial spaces (Colonialism / Decoloniality), Migration and Labor, Migration and Natural Resources; Migration, Gender and Sexual Dissidence; Migration and Childhood, Climate Migrants; Migration and Indigenous Peoples, Asylum and Refuge Applicants, Internal Migrants, Border, Migration and City, Gentrification / Tourism, Trafficking and trafficking networks, Identity constructions / Otherness, Forms of organization and political action, Interculturality in art and in the public space, among others.
To these is added a parallel order that responds to the geographical axis addressed by the documentary material.
The documentary collection brings together in a unique way audiovisual documents that, as a whole, allow us to work from different disciplines and levels, the contemporary nature of the migratory phenomenon, its differences with past decades, its characteristics, the historical and conjunctural determinations of human mobility as well as the economic, social, political and cultural characteristics of the countries involved, international treaties and national and partial laws on human rights, relations of human mobility with economic cycles, characteristics of migratory subjects, from a document that allows the analysis of the image, the aesthetics and the development of the audiovisual language.
All these elements to be addressed from a work with which to establish the necessary relationships existing in disciplines such as History, Economics, Society, Arts and Culture.

We understand that contemporary audiovisual production is formed as a theoretical object necessary to be incorporated into knowledge processes, since it converts them into significant, tangible and experimental experiences that allow deepening the understanding of the migratory phenomenon through a universal and historical journey of human mobility, contributing to the thought-building process, necessary elements that manage to synthesize-globalize learning and be the foundation of a new differential process of reflection.
Modes of organization of the material: The materials will be organized by categories that will allow the user to search and group the contents based on different axes of analysis.
Origin and destination
The materials will be organized by geopolitical categories that relate the territories of origin and destination.
